We're settling in just fine.

Well, it's been over a week since relocating to Huntsville, Al. It's been crazy around here adjusting to our new home, town, school and church. Noa's been in school for a week and has adjusted very well. She has only ten kids in her class which has made the adjustment process better for her. She has met a lot of new friends in her school and neighborhood. Further, I'm pleasantly suprised to how much of a bible belt this town is. One of the 1st questions asked to me by strangers is, do you have a church home? It's great to feel welcomed to the town and have so many people willing to help out in any way they can.
Life in Alabama is a bit different from Oklahoma. One big difference is switching from four church services a week to only one weekly. That's been tough. We're still in the process of finding a local church to attend. This week we drove to Rome,Ga for church. It was two hours away. It felt good to be amongst CGC friends again. I felt the presence of God dwell in that church in a mighty way and really enjoyed myself. Another big change is that I stayed inside during the day in Oklahoma because of my allergies. I haven't taken allergies meds since I've been here. It's great to be able to breathe again. We've been hiking, biking, running, and walking outside a lot just enjoying the great outdoors. The mountain views throughout the town are so pretty and relaxing. It's been real fun learning the area. I went for a walk this morning and the thing I love about older established neighborhoods is that God's creation has been preserved. All the trees are mature and not cut down. I saw squirrels playing, birds singing, butterflies, and beautiful colorful flowers. I'm realizing how much I really love being outdoors and willing to explore all the beauty that Huntsville has to offer.

ZOO TIME!

God sees all and all!

Oklahoma should be nicknamed "The Windy City". The winds have been so strong that it's a challenge to wear skirts or to even wear my hair down. I've been arriving to where I'm going having flashed someone by accident or looking like I've teased my hair! lol. But, Sunday thing got pretty bad for me. I had stopped by Ross to look around and parked next to this beautiful black suv. I was admiring in my head how beautiful the vehicle was as I pulled up next to it. The winds were just howling. Right before I got out of my vehicle I thought that I needed to hold my door to avoid the wind pulling my door off its hendges. When I opened my door and grabbed it, it slipped from my hands as the wind carried it open in one second. All of a sudden I heard this big bang. I was fearful to look to see what damage my car had done to this pretty vehicle next to me. As I looked, I immediately put my hands over my mouth. My vehicle did a lot of damage to the vehicle next to me.
The next thought that came to mind was....this is going to be my 1st hit and run! I couldn't believe that I was thinking to do something like that. I noticed that my vehicle was fine and that nobody would even suspect me as the person who hit them. I got back in my vehicle as emotions and thoughts just swirled in my mind. I was thinking about having to pay more for insurance, if the person who be nice about it, and all these other thoughts. I tured my key in my ignition to flee when this small still voice came to me. It said, "I am with you always.." I felt this peace that passeth all understanding as I turned my car off and got out. I thought to myself, "I'm not here on earth to please man or fool people but to live my life as unto the Lord". I'm here to live an honest life for God sees all and all. At that moment, I know what needed to do. I went into Ross and asked the associates to page the owner of the black vehicle in the parking lot because I have hit their car. As it turns out, not only was the lady so sweet about the situation but she asked me where I attended church. Who knows, she may show up one day to church. God puts situations in our life and gives us choices, choose him or the devil. I'm so thankful for his grace, his small voice of reasoning, and knowing that he's with me always. I just wanted to share my testimony for God is truly working on my flesh! lol.

Psalms 105:4

Seek the Lord, and his strenght: seek his face evermore.

Give myself away

show me your face/wrap me in your arms (william dcdowell)

Pour my Love on You

where would I be?

ZOO TIME!

So, we're going to the zoo today. We've been telling the kids that we'll go before we leave OKC. That was three weeks ago.  It's warming up with temperatures in the mid 70's. So, we're looking forward to enjoying the awesome outdoors and the wonderful zoo animals. This will be Jadon's 1st trip to the zoo. I can't wait to see his face when he sees all the zoo animals and gets a chance to run free. We've been cooped up in this hotel for two weeks and it's been hard on our kids for they're use to having space to run around and play.

Speaking of two weeks, we officially have only two weeks left in OKC. I got a pleasant surprise from the ladies of our church. They had a surprise party for me at Golden Corral yesterday. It was so special. I laughed and cried happy tears as they made goodies and homemade gifts for me. I enjoyed the fellowship and will truly miss the wonderful ladies of CGC Oklahoma City. Thanks to all of you for all the special memories.
